HR.net is an ADP human resources application. Where ADP freedom and HR.net are both being used by an organisation, many of the basic organisation and payroll details are held in both applications. The organisation, payroll and employee that is relatively static i.e that does not necessarily change frequently is referred to as the foundation data.
The HR.net foundation data integration facility removes the need to maintain this shared foundation data in each application. It does this by making ADP freedom the single point of entry for this data. ADP freedom sends updates to HR.net automatically to keep the foundation the same in both applications.
Note: This integration is one-way. ADP freedom cannot receive foundation data from HR.net. So, although you can see the shared data in both applications, you can only update it in ADP Freedom.
