What is the Tasks list?

Tasks are single pages, processes, actions or batch jobs assigned by the System Administrator that may be worked on by the owner, paused, and resumed.  The System Administrator can also re-assigned tasks to another user.

Tasks assigned to a user appear on the Tasks list on their ADP Freedom home page.  The header for the Tasks list will provide a count of the total number of open and new tasks in the list.

New, unopened tasks will appear at the top of a user’s Tasks list identified by a white clipboard icon.  Date of creation, workflow, process name and subject name, e.g. 26/05/2004 New Starter – Activate on Payroll – Priscilla Johnson will also appear in bold.

A new task is not sent to a user’s Tasks list until the completion of all prerequisite tasks.

Open tasks, also referred to as active tasks, where the user has opened and viewed the Tasks list, are identified using a grey clipboard icon and will appear in the Tasks list below new tasks.

Suspended tasks will appear as open tasks as will tasks unexpectedly terminated when a user’s session times out, the browser is closed in error or the computer system crashes.

When a task has been finished it will no longer appear in the Tasks list.
