Backpay processing is an optional ADP Freedom component that calculates the back payments due for employee earnings as a result of rate changes that are made after the rate's effective date, and after earning calculations have been made using those rates.

Pay data entry import is a process that you can use to import employee payroll information into ADP Freedom. By completing the import process, you can move your employee payroll information into ADP Freedom without retyping it.

Payroll process (1920kB)

A pay cycle, in ADP Freedom, is the periodic payroll processing of a pay group, as scheduled by a pay calendar. The pay calendar identifies past, current and future pay periods for a pay group and the pay cycle operates for each, and every, individual pay calendar entry.

The early part of this document describes the various stages of the payrun cycle as well as how to create and maintain pay calendars. Later in the document, Manual Payments and Payslip Reversals are discussed.
